The benefits of game meat vs conventional meat

Venison benefits

Wild game is leaner and higher in Omega-3 fatty acids. It has a low saturated fat content meaning it’s lower in cholesterol. This is because of the lifestyle of wild game. Their lifestyle leads to another a huge benefit; the absence of steriods, antibiotics and other additives found in intensively farmed animals.

Pheasant benefits

Game meats contain an average of 4.3% of fat. Compare that with their domesticated counterparts (cows and chickens for example), contain an average of 25-30% fat content. This is a lot less satuarated fat (bad fat) and much more polyunsaturated fat (good fat).

Partridge benefits

Now lets look at the nutritional values.

Game meat contains more protein, vitamins and minerals, especiallly zinc, iron and selenium. This is all due to game’s wild foraged diet and its abilty to ‘exercise’ in the wild ie taking flight from predators!

Grouse benefits

Remember this:

Roughly 10,000 years ago domesticated animals did not exist. Humans had no choice but to hunt for wild game. Wild game is the orignal grass fed, sustainable, free range meat source. This is the meat source that made us human.
